Light that adapts to you

  • Your question

A natural sun-kissed effect, a gradient from roots to ends, a few touches of light around your face? Trends change every season: the real question is what will suit you.

  • What you discover in the consultation

    • Which of the salon's 7 effects suits you: contouring, strobing, sombré, ombré, tiger eye, painting or foilyage. The technique follows from your face's light and shadow diagram.
    • An example: a long face benefits from light on the sides and keeps shadow at the top and bottom. That's the idea behind contouring.
    • Regrowth: blended effects (sombré, ombré) don't leave a visible root line.
  • The result

Light placed where it flatters your face, chosen with your hairdresser.

Lighting effects in detail

Every season brings its trends: icy blonde, autumn copper, veils of light in spring… The real question is which ones will suit you. Here are the salon's 7 lighting techniques.

  • Sombré

Nicknamed "the sun-kissed look": we respect the darker roots and create light on the ends, with a more or less pronounced lightening. Result: a natural effect that doesn't mind regrowth.

  • Ombré

Sombré's big brother, for those who want more light: a gradual lightening from roots to ends, with more or less contrast. Result: a natural gradient that isn't afraid of showing roots.

  • Tiger eye

Inspired by a tiger's coat and mainly designed for dark hair: we lighten selected strands, in harmony with your face shape, to alternate light and shadow. Result: a "clawed" effect, natural and elegant.

  • Painting

Veils of light: fine coloured strands blend into your hair to create a subtle play of light. Its name comes from "matte painting" in cinema. Result: hair that's brightened quite naturally.

  • Foilyage

Not quite highlights, not quite balayage: we select a few strands and lighten them to create a soft contrast with your natural colour. Result: a soft, natural effect for several months.

  • Strobing

Like the make-up technique of the same name, it enhances your natural beauty: touches of light around the face, on the ends or on the top of the head, depending on your features. Result: brightened hair with a natural finish.

  • Contouring

It applies the golden rule of colour: light enlarges, shadow slims. We keep shadow at the roots and at the bottom, and brighten the sides, for example to balance a long face.

Aftercare and follow-up

Depending on the technique, regrowth shows more or less quickly. Your hairdresser tells you what to expect and when to come back.

Frequently asked questions

Highlights, balayage and light effects: is it the same service?

Yes: everything is brought together in the OWA Colors Balayage Signature package. Same inclusions (tailor-made lightening, finishing gloss, Kérastase bath, blow-dry, Métal Détox protocol and Fusio-Dose concentrate), same prices and same online booking: your hairdresser chooses the technique with you during the diagnosis.

Which technique will suit me?

That's the whole point of the diagnosis: your hairdresser guides you based on your face, your complexion, your current colour and the upkeep you're happy with.

Which hair colour suits me?

Today, we talk less about a specific colour than about a technique adapted to you. Ideally, you combine the two: your colour world, and the technique that shows off your face. That's what you look for together during the Morpho-Conseil consultation, free of charge and with no obligation.

How can I follow trends without getting it wrong?

Keep an open mind: trends come from big brands as well as social media. Your hairdresser helps you adapt the ones you like to your face, your complexion and the time you want to spend on upkeep.

How do I book a lighting effect?

Online, with the Balayage Signature: all 7 light effects are part of it, at the same price and with the same inclusions. Your hairdresser chooses the technique with you at the start of the appointment.
